How to Reach Mt. Komorebi Peak in The Sims 4
In The Sims 4: Snowy Escape, Sims can take on the challenge of climbing Mt. Komorebi, the ultimate test for outdoor adventurers. Reaching the summit requires preparation, skill, and the right strategy. This guide will help you navigate the climb successfully.

Preparing for the Climb
Before starting the Mountain Climb Excursion, make sure your Sim is ready:
- Level up the Rock Climbing Skill to at least level 6 (level 8 is recommended for better success rates).
- Equip Climbing Gear and ensure it is in good condition.
- Bring Food, Energy Bars, and items to treat injuries (available from the Bits n Bobbles vending machine near the ski lift).
- Check the Weather Conditions on noticeboards in Yukimatsu—blizzards and icy conditions can make the climb riskier.
Starting the Climb
The Mountain Climb Excursion is a social event accessed through your Sim's phone. It requires at least two Sims, but only your Sim needs the level 6 Rock Climbing Skill. The event begins at the Sutefani Onsen Bathhouse in Yukimatsu.
From there, head to the ski lift and up the mountain to the first climbing wall. Successfully scaling it leads to the first trail marker, which advances the event to the next stage.
Progressing Up the Mountain
Each stage of the climb presents new challenges:
- Use Chalk Hands and Stretching interactions to improve focus and climbing success rates.
- Take advantage of resting spots, tents, and bushes along the way to manage needs.
- Monitor your Sims’ moods—injuries can prevent them from climbing and delay the group.
Reaching the Croft Icefall
The second stage, The Croft Icefall, is more difficult. Expect steeper climbs and sudden weather changes. Here, you’ll find an Ice Cave, where Sims can WooHoo, drink from a mountain spring, or explore—though sometimes bad weather can block access.
To move to the final stage, ensure you achieve at least a Silver Medal in the event objectives.
Summiting Mt. Komorebi
At the peak, Sims are rewarded with:
- The Mountain Climbing Beanie and Bracelet.
- The Expert Mountaineer trait for the group leader, making future climbs easier.
- A plaque commemorating their achievement.
Although the view from the summit is breathtaking, reaching it requires careful planning and awareness of your Sims’ conditions.
